Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was the daughter of
Gayle (Gaston) and was Director of the national office at Mary Kay and Freddie
Wright, a pharmacist executive. Her home was San Diego, California. When she
was 14 years old, she began her professional life in modeling. She was a model
in Paris as well as Japan. She chose to become an actress after she had
graduated from high school. She was offered a role on the soap opera Santa
Barbara (1984), and she was nominated for three daytime Emmys. She was in love
with Dane Witherspoon during the first season. They were married in the year
1986. She was the princess bride (1987) in the title role. After she left the
cast of Santa Barbara, she got the role of the main character in Denial (1990)
along with Jason Patric. She was in State of Grace (1990) and was introduced to
Sean Penn. They had one daughter Dylan Frances and a son Hopper Jack. Robin was
back in Hollywood with Tara which was one of her most significant roles of her
career, following her time. She was absolutely stunning and amazing. She
starred in Toys (1992) which was a comedy with Robin Williams. It was a very
funny performance. In 1994, Wright was in the blockbuster hit Forrest Gump
(1994), alongside Tom Hanks. For her performance in the film as Jenny, she got
nominated for a Golden Globe Award. She was given a small part in The Crossing
Guard (1995), starring Jack Nicholson. After refusing 14 roles, she was offered
the title role in MGM/UA’s Moll Flanders (1996). The film was directed by Pen
Densham and featured Morgan Freeman, Stockard Channing, and Morgan Freeman. She
then starred in Erin Dignam's Loved (1997) together with William Hurt.
