Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sofer is an American
actressand model, well-known for her performances on the daytime network,
occasional guest appearances as well as made-for TV films. In 1995, Sofer
received a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance of Lois Cerullo in the soap
show General Hospital. Since 2013, she has played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap
the show The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) to
Susan Sofer and Martin Sofer. Martin Sofer is a Conservative Rabbi. Her family
later relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until following divorce of her
parents, [citation neededshe emigrated with her father and brother David to
Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer
was five years old. They lived in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father was
the director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She later attended the Frisch
School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school located in Paramus,
New Jersey. Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was the
rabbi at Temple Beth El. She completed her studies at North Bergen High School,
then attended classes at Montclair State College. Sofer appeared as Lois Marie
Cerullo for the first time on General Hospital. Her first appearance was in
1993 as a manager for a band. However, her first high-profile role was as Rocky
McKenzie on the daytime soap opera Loving (1988-91). The most famous of her
roles is Lois Cerullo, a nurse on General Hospital from December 15 the 24th of
September 1993 to September 24 the 24th of September, 1996. She was later a
guest star on the show (February 7-17, 1997 September 30th to October 2nd ,
1997). Sofer was given an Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding Supporting
Artistress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Lois. Sofer has joined CBS's
soap-opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a role she had just
created. The premiere of the show aired in July 2013. Sofer has been featured
in a variety of prominent prime-time TV shows in a guest star/supporting cast member
role: Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind
Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
