Rosamund Pike
In 1979, in London, England, actress Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike is the sole child of a classical violinist mother, Caroline (Friend), as well as an opera singer father, Julian Pike. Both parents were extremely hard-working and she travelled extensively throughout Europe in her early years. Pike went to Bristol's Badminton School and started acting at the National Youth Theatre. Pike first made an appearance in a National Youth Theatre production "Romeo and Juliet". She was signed by an agent following being observed. Pike also began acting at the National Youth Theatre. Although her first film was a huge-budget action film, her involvement was mostly in smaller independent films such as Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004).
